kaskade > hit play [12 Aug 2008|05:36pm]

[18 Mar 2007|02:43pm]
Take a look at this carribean casa with a wrapped pool - hot concept yes ?

So who's got an extra mil or two ? You know I'm good for it - I promise !

it's too damn cold this year ! [31 Jan 2006|01:14am]
The mondo cold front that swept across Europe with record chill factors is now solidly entrenched with high temps in the minus 50's in the interior. Being in a deep freeze for a few days is ok I suppose, but several weeks of grounded aircraft and clunky flat spots on tires is getting old. Everyone is looking forward to something different:

Lots of cancelled or diverted flights and the airport looks like a giant slumber party, everyone is crashed on the floor. Tomorrow will be really crazy.

dichroic glass is cool [22 Jan 2006|11:58am]
Accent color base for a wall waterfall thing... plus a ton of horizontal copperplate.... and a big solar pump....

New comission piece, about 8x12 feet... Artist: Meeee !

million pixels = million dollars [22 Jan 2006|11:55am]

Being first paid off for a random college guy from London. Lots of copycats now.

Code Red [13 Jan 2006|11:52pm]
Volcanos are really a pain. Especially ones close to town.

Today was a series of vent-clearing explosions and high vertical plumes of volcanic ash followed by pyroclastic flows, surges, and lahars on the volcano flanks. Sounds like the Discovery Channel...

Ash sounds so light and fluffy, it's more like diamond grit that trashes hard drives on computers, scratches windshields, gets into food and makes everything crunchy, makes everyone look like red-eyed zombies.

After a few weeks in Cabo this tan should be easy. Singapore is getting pretty radical, yes?

Apologies to the copyright holder and talent for any copyright infringement, want a date?

something new.... something bright ! [04 Jan 2006|08:47pm]
Cool! Even more acrylic wall decor for Cabo.... it really looks like glass, and hopefully won't sun fade. These MDF panels will are laminated to high density foam and get suspended with copper tubes across an overhead arch.

no clue how this happened... [31 Dec 2005|11:59pm]

The dotcom condo somehow is at the top of Yahoo today. No clue as to why. I've done zero search optimization or marketing except for random ebay ads and a cheap $10 flight of Google Ad Words. Most hits come from ebay and occasionally from this blog so I'm mystified... thank you yahoo !!!

combien ? [27 Dec 2005|09:12pm]
Is this Zim aluminum designer chaise worth $680? No ?

What a rip. How about $49 ? Yep, a big score for Walmart. Online only. Cool.

live plasma = hot concept [26 Dec 2005|11:24am]
the next wave of dynamic relationship linking is really slick - this variant does music and movies - here's a snap of a madonna map... click any other artist and it re-maps to their center of the universe with updated links...

it's a 100% flash based relationship discovery engine.... that sounds like a dating service... but if you want cell call patterns and airline reservations with no-fly integration and inbound visa applications plus dynamic filtering and subnested searches too... let's not go there... go here instead. How do they do it ? I have no idea but they use Amazon's database.

flash basics are easy but the good stuff requires a focus similar to the learning curve for non-linear editing... check out the free flash tutorials over at Justin's site over here for tips and tricks... this guy is fast!

just a gratituous pic [12 Dec 2005|11:01am]

I love to read scripts... [05 Dec 2005|10:47am]
Think you could write something as casually unscripted ?

Here's a QEFTSG script that's half-baked: Click! Granted, this is only the 2nd draft, it will get hacked and timecompressed in post... but I'm impressed at the level of detail that went into this with lots of room for improv.... And yes Jai, your teeth are white enough, any more laser-enhanced hyperchlorination sessions will just make your dentist rich and your enamel soft so save your money and expect to have a full set of ceramic-clad kevlar implants in the not-to-distant future...

you're getting sleepy..... [02 Dec 2005|07:36pm]
Relax your eyes.. gaze at the center for ten seconds...
just let the dots spin around.... don't fall asleep....

If they morph to a trailing green blur you're a hot date lol

totally unscripted ! [06 Nov 2005|05:14pm]

and the truly AMAZING FACTOID of the day.... "Laguna Beach... the Real OC" is NOT SCRIPTED ? So they're claiming. I'm so sure LOL...

More artwork for cabo... [14 Oct 2005|02:54pm]
Thanks to FedEx this geometric original arrived from the land of the smiles, Thailand. Each and every element was individually masked out and painted as there's a micro-ridge surrounding each block, must have taken days to do - Starving artist: Kai Attapon

And from the Brazilian collection of Novica is "Atlantis" - There's a serious amount of acrylic in the orange areas, looks great overlooking the ocean. Kinda beachy - yes ? Artist: Tao

distractions everywhere..... from costco lol [04 Sep 2005|12:57pm]

club lighting [18 Jul 2005|06:18pm]
a bit monochromatic.... the "Kabaret" club in London... every dot on the wall panels can be any color and it continually changes... it's a kinetics/dmx of course.... nice ! Can't have a gay club without it.

color kinetics makes some of the best led lighting for interiors - usually controlled by a dmx-512 class computer controllers, or cheap twist controls to set room ambience via valence or cove uplighting - Adjust your mood with light, or not.
